Thanks for re-posting your excellent article SARTE. “Media Once Bitten, Forever Scorn” I must have missed it at the time. NOW you tell me I should have been censoring myself! Not that it's ever going to happen.
Of course the elite are going after alternative news sites. Their entire house of cards is built on the base of an ignorant and uninformed population. And, when that doesn't work, intimidation is employed. History tells us that one of the first groups that are silenced in a country in process of being taken over by a tyrant, is the press. First you court the press, bribe, reward and otherwise try to get them on your side. Failing that, you come down on them like the Wrath of God. After all, you can't have any media telling the sheeple what their leaders are up to when those same leaders are shoveling a load of barn manure to the public about their actions and intentions.
And that would apply to Mr. Putin as well. A great leader is measured by how he treats descent. Let me give an example of how a real man behaves when confronted with descent or is vilified in the media.
During a visit to Jefferson, the German Baron Alexander von Humboldt saw a newspaper in the President's study filled with scurrilous abuse of him. “Why are these libels allowed?” exclaimed the Baron, picking up the paper. “Why is not this libelous journal suppressed, or its Editor, at least fined and imprisoned?” “Put that paper in your pocket, Baron,” Jefferson said smiling, “and should you hear the reality of our liberty, the freedom of the press questioned, show them this paper, and tell them where you found it.”
Any time I see those in power going after any form of media, I am reminded of what a great man Jefferson really was. That is the way great men handle opposition press Mr. Putin. They don't imprison them or poison them. And they don't eviscerate our Constitution because they don't like what is said about them, Mr. Obama.
The Lame Stream Media are crying over their ratings dropping. Has it occurred to them yet that people want real news, not Cabal approved drivel? More and more, people are shutting off their TV and radio and heading to alternative sites for their daily news. Therefore, you can expect those sites to be in the cross-hairs of the establishment. Some sites have experienced...what shall we call it...problems? Often the audio or video fades in and out. Annoying noises during an entire program let us know that Big Brother is watching. Some sites have been hacked and shut down for a time. Free speech cannot be allowed in a police state. Fear and intimidation are the weapons of choice.
SARTE mentioned the possible revival of the old printing press. It may come to that. There are some of us still around who know how to run them. If it should come to that and the Internet is shut down, seriously gagged or censored like the Lame Stream Media, we will turn to whatever works. Too many people are already awake and aware of what this corrupt Cabal is doing. It's too late to stop the tide now. Most of us will continue to talk to family and friends until they also wake up. You can't stop us by fear and intimidation. It's a funny thing about Americans. Most of us believed that we were already free. We thought this was the best country in the world and that is why people would give up so much to come here. We thought the press worked to keep us informed. Once we woke up and realized how wrong we were, we didn't go into fear. We got mad. And as naive as we Americans can be sometimes, you really don't want to underestimate us when riled. That is why we are the last country standing in some ways. That is why the Cabal fear us.
But more important than that, I believe it is time for the individuals serving in government, including the alphabet agencies, the military and increasingly, the law enforcement sector, to begin to think for themselves. Ask yourself what is going on in this country. When investigative journalists and alternative media owners are being harassed and in some cases, killed for speaking their truth, what is going on? Ask yourself what the organization you belong to is doing. Are you taking part in corruption or in intimidation of people who are only exercising their constitutional rights? Are you jailing peaceful protesters? Were you in on the raid on the AP? I thought it was highly amusing that a bought and paid for press would ignore or even back up unconstitutional activities toward regular citizens, but when their phone records were seized, when their conversations were spied on, they cried, “Foul!”
Don't think you will be exonerated for being a good little lap puppy. Not by your masters (research Hitler's Brown Shirts) and not by us. Do not think you will hide behind a uniform, a badge or a set of letters. The trials at Nuremberg should have been lesson enough to any who would support a tyrant, that the cost is high for doing so. And the excuse of, “I was just following orders.” doesn't stand as a defense. When the SHTF, and it will, there will be nowhere to hide. Now would be a good time for some serious soul searching. Decide now which side of history you will be on and act accordingly. The second American Revolution is coming. Storm clouds are gathering.
