Paris Terrorism Could Have Occurred in the White House
If, instead of the attack by a single person on the White House in September 2014, the intrusion had been carried out by one or more people with military-type weapons, it would have been child's play to have assassinated an American president in his office or bedroom. It was luck that the intruder was an amateur.
That danger should have been obvious and major changes made to prevent that possibility. Even now, has that danger been addressed?
A similar situation existed with the easily preventable hijackings of four U.S. airliners on 9/11. Competent personnel knew for years that cabin flight attendants should not have keys to the cockpit, which a single terrorist could use to enter the cockpit and kill the pilots.
Incompetence and inability to see or act on red flag warnings is a common trait among many non-elected or elected personnel in the U.S. government.
